Celebrate Independence Day with us by volunteering at the Champaign 4th of July Parade! We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals to join the fun by walking alongside or riding on the Champaign Park District trolley as we make our way through the parade route.
Volunteers are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue or Champaign Park District-themed attire. Please avoid any politically-charged graphic t-shirts or hats to help us keep the event festive and welcoming for all.
Volunteers will help distribute candy to parade attendees—but please note: candy must be handed out directly, not thrown, and water guns are not allowed. These are safety requirements and part of the City Ordinance. Anyone who does not follow these guidelines may be asked to leave and could risk the Park District’s ability to participate in future parades.
Lineup will be at 4th & Kirby. We welcome you to bring your family - please indicate if you are doing so in the comment field when signing up.
