Prairie Farm is a seasonal petting zoo and educational farm offering fun, hands-on learning experiences for all ages! Home to a wide variety of animals including pigs, goats (and adorable baby goats), ducks, cows, calves, donkeys, chickens, chicks, horses, turtles, alpacas, rabbits, koi fish, sheep, and miniature horses—there’s never a dull moment at the farm!
Volunteer Role:
As a Prairie Farm volunteer, you’ll play a key part in helping care for our animals and keep the farm safe and welcoming for guests.
Volunteers may assist with:
- Cleaning animal enclosures
- Feeding and caring for animals (under staff supervision)
- Picking up litter and keeping public areas clean
- Providing line control and assisting with general farm operations
- Other tasks as assigned by staff
Important Notes:
- Volunteers must check in with staff at the farm house upon arrival and sign in/out of their shift using the Volunteer Portal or Causer app.
- You’ll be given a volunteer ID badge—please wear it in a visible location during your shift and return it at the end.
- Volunteers should not move animals and should never be alone in an enclosure with animals present.
- This listing is for the afternoon shift. If you're interested in volunteering in the morning (9:00am–11:00am), click HERE to sign up.
We’re excited to have you join us in making Prairie Farm a clean, safe, and educational environment for the whole community!
