Opportunities From: Champaign Park District

Volunteers will monitor, organize, and provide assistance to actors backstage and downstairs in the green room. Volunteers should not be entering dressing rooms but can provide assistance on hair, makeup, costumes, etc. in the communal areas - these skills are not required, however, if assisting in small ways during the performances is something you'd enjoy this is a great opportunity. While the show is being performed volunteers will assist in keeping the green room and backstage areas quiet.

Volunteers will be assisting with dismantling the set, collecting costumes, cleaning dressing rooms, and moving pieces to Springer. This will take place after the last performance of the show.

A set of parents who would be interested in leading the creation, collection, and organization of the costumes for Finding Nemo Jr. Sewing skills would be appreciated for needed alterations. Costume leads will work directly with the production staff to determine the needs for the show. Hours to work would be Monday-Wednesdays during rehearsal 6pm-8pm but additional time can be scheduled if needing to work in a park district building.

A set of parents who would be interested in leading the creation, collection, and organization of the props for Finding Nemo Jr. Crafting skills would be appreciated for needed projects. Prop leads will work directly with the production staff to determine the needs for the show. Hours to work would be Monday-Wednesdays during rehearsal 6pm-8pm but additional time can be scheduled if needing to work in a park district building.

A set of parents who would be interested in leading the building, decorating, and constructing of the set for Finding Nemo Jr. Woodshop skills are required for this position. Additionally, this set has a few components that need backgrounds painted. Art skills encouraged. Set leads will work directly with the production staff to determine the needs for the show. Hours to work would be flexible but the shop is available Monday-Wednesdays during rehearsal 6pm-8pm always.

The build site is located off of Staley Road in Champaign. Specific details will be given after registering.
